  1. I have watched this video a few years ago and the fact that she had the courage to do this still amazes me. She may only be 12 years old, yet the way she talks is like those that just graduated from Harvard. I always knew that the world is getting in a bad shape, but I just kind of brushed it off. She opened my eyes to what I was doing wrong and how I should at least try to help in the way I can.

  2. I agree as well! We do waste food in many areas of the world and we don't think how much food we waste or how many people we could feed from our scrapings. She was a determined child to make a change in the world and she was a leader when she was only nine years old.Everybody should help with this cause!

  3. I agree to what she did, to have the courage and speak up about what everybody is ignoring. She had great information to backup her idea. When she told us about the fish in Vancouver, that they had cancer in their body's. That is terrible! She is a great speaker. I know that we should all help this cause that we have created, and now we need to fix it.

  4. This video made me reflect on every word she said. If this is made 1992 then we need to change more because it is only getting worse. Every day people in 2013 still worry about global warming. Every day people still don't know what is in the air and how clean it is. 1992 Was 21 years ago, and yet people still don't care. We need to all get involved into programs to make sure not just our generation, but the ones after us can have a healthy lifestyle.

  5. I agree with every word she said. About how we say we are going to do something and we never do it, how greedy we are when we take advantage of so much, when we could give something to children who need it just to survive. She brought out every issue that we are ignoring, but the fact that she is just a kid and she did that is amazing but sort of a sad. I mean, she's a twelve year old girl who has the courage to do something no one else did. I really hope the rest of the world spreads the message.

  6. This amazing girl, who is probably in her 30's now makes me think about the things we ignore in the world and why we don't do anything about it.The big reason that affected me is that we have so much and we never give or think about others who don't have shelters, enough food,or given the love and affection that is needed. She was only twelve when she had the courage to speak up,imagine her giving this speech again, would she have less reasons? Or even more? How has the world changed since 1992,we all know its getting worse but why don't we do anything to help our world.I just hope something changes, because if we don't,its our own faults.

  7. I watched the speech that Severn Suzuki gave to address the United Nations council. She spoke to the United Nations with a surety and confidence that made those who watched and I'm sure those who were there, feel guilty about the way they lived. She spoke about many issues that affected our world then, all of them affect our world today. It makes me wonder, if world leaders would have made a bigger contribution to the issues then, would we still have them today? In turn makes me think, can we demolish the problems now, so future generations wont have them? The answer I came to is Yes! We can all do something about it. I don't want my children or my grandchildren or ANY future generations to have the same problems we have today. The world is a scary place, and I don't them to know live in it.

  8. This video made me think,it was very sad this is the kind of video that makes you reflect on the the world. sometimes we know it's going on but it doesn't seem that bad when we hear it, now that i see it on a video it makes me want to cry, if she changed on how i saw this and others minds we can change the world if we work together we need to speak out like she did .this video shows how the world has changed since 1992,we can stop this from happening so lets start

  9. I think this was very inspiring considering she spoke up and fought for her own beliefs even if she was against everybody. It makes me upset that we keep promising to fix our problems but never do. It's easier to say than do but we will eventually have to do something before it gets too late. These problems keep getting bigger and bigger. We have been promising to help our environment for decades, but we haven't done anything yet. If we want our generation, and the following generations to have a healthy living environment, we should start by listening to Suzuki and stop saying, but doing.
