Rights Violated

Child abuse is important to me because I think all children should have the chance to live their lives and get an education.  Why do children all around the world have to suffer? I don’t know but child abuse is a cruel and wrong thing to do.  It is a violation of their rights, their well-being and denies them the opportunity to reach their full potential.

About 1.2 million children - both boys and girls - are trafficked each year into exploitative work, including mining, factories, armed conflict or commercial sex work.

Children living in areas of extreme economic hardship and social disruption are at increased risk for abuse, violence, and exploitation.  An estimated 300 million children worldwide are subjected to violence, exploitation and abuse, including the worst forms of child labor in communities, schools and institutions. Worldwide, an estimated 40 million children under the age of 15 suffer from violence, abuse and neglect.

To reduce the children vulnerable to child abuse, UNICEF assists governments in strengthening laws, policies and services including legislative review and reforms, establishing minimum labour standards, and supporting access to education. 1. You are so correct To me this hurts a lot because I have a little sister a home and she is only 7. its hard to imagine little children her age do labor work that a grown up would do. I think children should have the exact some opportunities and rights as grownups. Just because they don't understand as much stuff as us doesn't mean we could take advantage of that.

    1. Yeah children need the opportunity to live their life and get an education not doing labor. They should not be taken advantage of and neglected. It hurts me too to think that children under the age of 15 are abused.
