Racism Issues

Racism is a huge issue around the world. It can officially be  known as a Global Issue. People have different beliefs, different looks, different opinions, different hair colour, and many more to list but, we are all the same. (species) You probably see Racism everyday in your daily life, school, internet, public, etc. You yourself may even be a Racist individual.

Racism : The belief that your characteristics and abilities can be concluded that you are superior against another race.

Racism (discrimination) has been used as a very powerful weapon towards your self, making you fear and believe that your race is less superior. It can make you, or anyone's self esteem go to a very bad position.

What can we do to stop Racism? There really is no way to stop and prevent people's thoughts on another person's race. Here are some things we can do to help and stop it from happening in our school.

- Object to Racist jokes and Insults
- Suggest that your class or school develop a policy statement against all forms of racial discrimination

Think to yourself, "would I like to get harassed because of my beliefs and skin colour?" If not, help by preventing it happening to others that are losing their self esteem because of racism. Although you might not think a lot of people care about racism, millions maybe billions do, and about one billion people everyday get hurt by racism.

    I agree with how we can prevent racism in our school, but maybe there is something we could do to prevent it in our world as well. Do you have any ideas?

      I'm glad you agree with the ways we can help prevent racism in our school, but as you stated your question about the whole world, it's almost impossible because you can't really change someone's opinion about another's race. The world's people will be like that for years and years.

    Actually racism won't last forever if one at a time we take action I know not everyone would take action but if people stop then soon everybody will take action its a long chain.

      I can honestly agree but, it'd take years and years to do that. It'd be amazing if that could happen, the day we all come together as one with no conflict.
