Our Consumption

Now humans are now using natural resources fifty percent faster than the earth can replace them.  We continue to increase the amount of resources we use making it more difficult to get them in the future.  There is a possibility that we may run out of natural resources if we continue to keep increasing the amount they are used.  We are able to change the amount of resources we use but that may be a larger step for others.

I think we are using to many natural resources each year. My reasoning for this that a orange or banana will travel about eleven million miles to reach the grocery store.  There is also over consumption on things like electricity, and gas. I have looked at my own consumption and for having low amounts of items every week my consumption somehow ended up in the thousands.

  1. This is a great blog!! I so agree that we are consuming our natural resources way too fast and we are definitely going to run out of them someday if we don't change our habits. I also think more people should be concerned about our enviroment because its going to come to a point where we're really going to start to struggle.
