Emily was one of the five members of the famous five. The goal for the famous five was to get rights for the women of Canada to vote,be part of the community, and to be able to do anything. Emily was born in Toronto in a family of six. She was given all the things that females at the age were supposed to be given. She went t private school and was not allowed to go to the public schools like the boys. At the age of 11 young Emily got married to a man through her friend.
