Who has made a difference in not only your life, but someone elses too?
For me it's my mom. She gave me life, I wouldn't be alive right now without her. She has given me a home, family, food and love. When I think about it there is so much my mom has done for me and my family but she didn't stop there. She is a registered nurse at the Children's Stollery Hospital. Everyday she goes to work she helps save someone's life who without the help of my mom and other nurses wouldn't make it or at least wouldn't know know that people are wasting their time to try and save them. My mom makes very important decisions that can lead to life or death. When I was 2 I got kidney failure, I had/have 2 damaged kidneys so the nurses at the hospital wanted to give me a kidney transplant. My mom refused because she new as a nurse that at such a young age you could die from it, she made the right decision I'm alright and healthy now, my mom didn't want to take a chance of me dying and she made the right choice. She gets attached to her patients and treats them like her own child. She cares and loves them like its her own kid lying there hurt, because she knows how it feels when your kid is in the hospital hurt and she tries her best to get them out of the hospital healthy. She shows those kids hope when they have no hope left. To me she makes more than a difference in mine, my families and hurt, injured patients in need of help.
