Health Concerns

Have you imagined how kids deal with their health system in there country? Has health ever concerned you? Well it sure concerns this young man.

Here are some facts that people deal with worldwide.
- 1 Billion people lack access to health care and hospitals.
- 36 million deaths each year are caused by noncommunicable diseases.
- Over 7.5 million children under the age of 5 die from malnutrition and mostly preventable diseases, each year.
- In 2008, some 6.7 million people died of infectious diseases alone
- Tuberculosis kills 1.7 million people each year, with 9.4 million new cases a year.
- Malaria causes some 225 million acute illnesses and over 780,000 deaths, annually.
- 164,000 people, mostly children under 5, died from measles in 2008 even though effective immunization costs less than 1 US dollars and has been available for more than 40 years.

Health issues are a very important topic in general life. Kids around the world don't have the right amount of health care. For example, Africa doesn't have a good health system due to the poor economy. They cant afford having health in their country making it impossible to stay healthy. Health is something that will stick with you for your whole life so make it right.

I'm proud of my country , Canada . Because we have the health care system in the whole world. I'm safe to say this because Canadian doctors react quickly to diseases and things that aren't good. Also Canadians are usually the first to find cures to things. For example Canada found a cure several diseases such as H1N1, also working on more things to cure. Canada always has medic attention before any other country. During the flu season Canada gives out free vaccines to help prevent the spread/disease. As much as they hurt health is a number one priority.

Keep in mind that you should be thankful for the health care in our country. Because like said in the facts, 1 billion people don't have access to a hospital or care.
