I think all these weapons, used both by the governments and civilians could be harmful as it is really hard to enforce the gun laws. This leads to incidents such as the school shooting in Connecticut and Countries with unstable or no government such Syria and many others in Africa and all over the world the weapons used by the military are just ready to be misused. But yes weapons are important for defense of an individual and group but you should not have access weapons but keep it under control as done in our country, Canada.
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.
The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30 cities."
Money spent on weapons can be spent on schools and other public services by the countries as said by US president Dwight D. Eisenhower in the quote above.

Strong opinion's in this and i do agree there should be less people with guns around the world.
ReplyDeleteI feel that nuclear weapons are a big threat in our society today. We could that power for stuff much better such as nuclear power to generate whole countries with energy. I do not agree with the disarmament of our country. If we let our guard down we could have another devastating terrorist attack such as 9/11. Guns are a way of life in modern society and we can not just remove them with a moments notice but we should try to eliminate the threat of guns.
